Frequently asked questions
Is the repair visit free?
No. CANRO publishes free estimates for replacements and installations, and a diagnostic fee for repair visits that is credited toward the repair if you proceed. The amount is confirmed by phone; it is not published.
Do you repair all water heater brands?
CANRO services most gas, electric and tankless brands sold in Canada, including the brands listed on its own site. Parts availability for very old or discontinued models can limit what is possible; the technician will tell you before work starts.
My tank is leaking from the bottom. Can it be repaired?
A leaking tank body cannot be repaired. Shut off the cold-water supply and the gas control or breaker if safe, and call; a leaking tank is priced as a replacement with a free estimate. A drip from the relief valve or a fitting is different and often repairable.
Should I keep relighting the pilot or resetting the unit?
No. Repeated relights or resets can hide the fault and, on some controls, extend a lockout. Note the code or the symptom, reset once if the manual allows it, and call if it returns.
