Its 4 in x 6 in co-axial vent is larger than the 3 in x 5 in of the other models, and it carries 3/4 in side connections for space heating.
Like the rest of the family it is closed-combustion and needs no electricity: combustion air arrives through the outer vent pipe and the millivolt ICON control runs on the pilot's thermopile. The sheet calls for a minimum of 75 7/8 in from the floor to the vent centre-line, the tallest requirement in the family. UEF 0.64 is a medium-draw rating below ENERGY STAR. Maintenance the manufacturer specifies
- Inspect the anode rod every 2 years and replace when depleted; more often with softened water (manual, Maintenance item 9).

Hot water and scalding
